Technique & Background of the Artist:

Harmonizing Technology and Art... Sid Jones uses imaging technology to accurately record a momentary perspective. This technical representation is then crafted into a presentation designed to excite the human psyche through the eye. Assumptions are continually re-evaluated regarding the equipment, process, and outcome. This playful approach results in works exhibiting both spontaneity and iterative convergent refinement as the initial artistic intent is fully developed.

Born in the mid 1940's, Sid was raised in California's San Francisco Bay Area. He's been integrating art and technology since 1960. Photography was first employed as a solution to the need for studio references used in oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. His four decades of practice result in mastery of an imaging process highlighting People - Places - Things. Current work focuses on digital post processing enhancement of images captured through both digital and film techniques. Particular emphasis is given to image resolution, chroma, dynamic range, and optimization for World Wide Web publication. Member of National Association of Photoshop Professionals
